CHILDREN’S HOME

A Loving home, food, shelter, education and HOPE.

For a chance to spread their wings.

We look after these kids in the orphanage. We now have a total of 32 orphans. These are they who lost their parents due to HIV/AIDS, the abandoned and the disadvantaged. We accommodate them, feed them and see them through school. We have built a home for them through the sponsorship of our dear friends; Don and friends. Our major need is water. You can sponsor a child for a meal at $30 per month. We thank God that we’ve managed to install electricity at the orphanage home.

Our Mission

To provide a stable and consistent home for children in need, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ allowing the children to grow, spread their wings and become assets to their community.

Our History

The children’s home started when the home was finished. In 2018 the Government said we needed a separate home for the children.  We bought a piece of property with a house on it. It became the Real Children’s Home. Our wonderful Engineer Emmanuel Ssali took excess material from the church and built 3 additional homes on this property at no additional cost to us. During 2019 we finished the homes, windows, doors, roof and dug a well and began to complete the compound and gate. At this time is when we had to stop on the Children’s Home and begin to build a school. The engineer finished one of the homes on this property to be the home of Pastor Wamala and Teddy. Teddy is mom to 34 children, 30 orphans and 4 of her own.

Each of the homes has a paid house mother. School is so important as a part of this model. The school is where the kids receive a meal each school day. As funds are available they get a second meal at the home. There are 15 bunk beds for the children, each with a mattress, sheets and mosquito nets. These things need to be replaced on a regular rotating basis.

Our Needs

We need to complete our construction projects, expected to bring a significant increase to the quality of life and operation in our Children’s Home. As for ongoing needs, there are 15 bunk beds for the children, which need regular replacing and restocking.
